April Showers Bring May Flowers — Weed for Weeding

It’s been a long rough winter, and we’re all welcoming the telltale signs of spring: clusters of daffodils, crocuses like purple jewels, and the first tulips and lilies. But these welcome flowers don’t come alone. Here in the Seattle/Tacoma area, the weeds will be towering in no time. It’s time to hit your garden before they take over. Yes, it’s an onerous task, but at least you have your favorite Seattle pot shop to help. Here at A Greener Today in South Seattle, we’ve done some serious research and compiled a list of our favorite strains for gardening. For outdoor work, we recommend something Sativa-forward and uplifting—weed that’ll make even weeding seem fun. Here are our favorite spring picks:

Stardawg
This new hybrid is a cross between Chemdog 4 and Tres Dawg. We’re digging the the sparkling trichomes, the earthy pine flavor, and the upbeat, invigorating high. Dandelions take cover!

Green Crack Legends from Northwest Cannabis Solutions
What better way to celebrate the spring greenery? This strain delivers an energetic buzz that will keep you focused on the work at hand. We love the fruity aroma, redolent with lime, mango, and guava.

Hawaiian Dream
A relatively new Sativa strain, Hawaiian Dream is a descendent of classic Blue Dream, and is known for its high CBD content and uplifting high. Will put you in a better mood without giving you the sudden desire to catch up on your Netflix.

Lemon OG from Top Shelf
This tasty OG is a solid mood elevator. The onset of mild euphoria will surely keep you upbeat as you tackle this year’s crop of dandelions, buttercup, ivy, and knot weed.
